New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth

The New Theatre Royal Portsmouth is a Grade II* listed building dating from 1854 designed and built by the two most prolific theatre architects of the nineteenth century, CJ Phipps and Frank Matcham, making it one of the most important surviving nineteenth century theatres.

MADD were commissioned to carry out a feasibility study to improve the effective operation of the venue in particular looking at the rear stalls and foyer areas in relation to disabled access and inclusivity, audience circulation and connectivity, bar/box office and merchandising counters and the introduction of rear stalls boxes for seating and control positions.
