The Ambassadors Theatre, London

MADD were commissioned in May 2019 to carry out work stages 0 to 3 for the complete renovation and remodelling of The Ambassadors Theatre, London.

The project brief addressed venue wide public accessibility issues, inadequate front of house facilities and ageing building services. Our proposals included the introduction of a platform lift to provide wheelchair access from the ground floor to auditorium stalls level and enlargement of the stalls bar to accommodate the lift and provide much needed additional foyer and bar space. The proposals also included converting the offices on the second floor into a new bar/lounge with additional WC provision, re-planning existing WC’s to ease front of house congestion, re-raking the balcony to provide additional seating as well as upgrading auditorium technical and MEP services. MAD-D were lead design consultant through to completion of Stage 3.
