Theatre Royal, Windsor

Theatre Royal Windsor opened in 1902 replacing the original playhouse built in 1815. The theatre was designed by William Shipley and is Grade II listed.

MADD were invited in October 2019 to carry out a feasibility study to develop outline proposals for 5 separate projects which looked at the strengthening/replacement of the stage, existing grid capacity, repairs within the auditorium, extending the rear stalls seating to increase the seating capacity and auditorium technical positions.

Extending the rear stalls would reinstate the original seating layout which is currently used as ancillary accommodation and would increase the capacity by 138 seats.
